Navigating Pain in Movement

Got chronic pain? Prone to injury? Want to keep moving and know when it’s time to take a break or call the doc?

We’re sharing our personal and professional experiences with pain and movement, along with:

  • what the science says about movement and pain management

  • adjustments you can make to keep moving in spite of your pain

  • a simple assessment for when to seek medical help

  • Sunday, May 3rd, 2 pm CST, 60 minutes

  • Workshop will be recorded and sent to all registrants.

  • No movement required for this workshop! It’s an educational presentation and Q&A.

Coach Sarah and Coach Christine have combined skills we’ve learned from our cumulative 18 years of experience coaching clients of all body sizes, with strategies we’ve acquired in our various certifications. Now we’re condensing it all into an accessible format, so you can level up your coaching without a huge time and money commitment.

How to Be a Better Size-Inclusive Movement Coach

Created specifically for personal trainers and other movement professionals who want to hone their weight-neutral, size-inclusive, body-liberation coaching skills, this workshop includes:

• Core concepts to prioritize in your coaching and business if you claim to be size-inclusive
• Frameworks to define progress and create structure for your clients
• How to find out and remember your clients' individual needs and preferences
• How to identify and reinforce motivational values, without accidentally reinforcing harmful concepts
• How to recognize problems, initiate repair, and regain trust when you make mistakes
• A walkthrough of many movement variations (some of which I bet you haven’t seen before!), including:

✅ variations for clients who have very limited mobility

✅ variations for clients who need to stay seated

✅ variations for clients with large bellies and/or chests

✅ variations for clients who are very short or tall

✅ variations for clients with fluctuating energy/pain levels

✅ variations for clients with hypermobility

We will spend one hour learning concepts, one hour on variation cueing practice, and 30 minutes on Q&A. You'll take home a size-inclusive movement library with even more variations than we’ll have time to cover in the workshop!

After completing this workshop, you’ll have:

✅ Practical tools to immediately integrate into your coaching

✅ Confidence when navigating challenging conversations with clients

✅ Trust that you can support your clients more effectively

When : Saturday, May 23, 10 am - 12:30 pm CST
